ReFrame: Graffiti as Dialogue 2 - iHuman Youth Society

As an organization that serves as a connecting point between Edmonton’s vulnerable youth and the larger Edmonton community, iHuman brings youth and community members together in free public workshops to explore how an art form that is in many cases viewed solely as a tool for vandalism can be used to enhance community dialogue and beautify this city through a pop-up free wall.

Thursday June 29: Lauren Crazybull is a Blackfoot and Dene artist who works through a mix of paint and illustration to articulate the realities that many Indigenous people find themselves in through her work at iHuman and as an emerging artist. Lauren’s work explores how ongoing colonialism can profoundly impact and manifest into our bodies through personal connection and visual storytelling.
