Not All That We’ve Been Told is a public poetry workshop. Participants will work with Canadian literature to make the pages of these books into erasure poems: crossing out and highlighting the original texts to make new poetry that either subverts or expands upon established ideas about Canada and its people. This workshop will discuss both the importance of the stories we inherit, and also the liberatory qualities of being permitted to re-write what we no longer wish to pass forward.
