The Works International Visual Arts Society (The Society) is undertaking a rehabilitation of The William Paskins Residence (designated as a Municipal Historic Resource) for the purposes of providing a permanent home for The Society’s various community development programs.  We are a non-profit charitable Society est. 1981, most well known for producing:

  • The Works Art & Design Festival, now in its 25th year: June 25 – July 7, 2010

  • The Places, Art & Design in Public Places Program, which has placed 37 works of art and design in downtown Edmonton over the past 10 years and in other Edmonton neighbourhoods.

Our Society has been working closely with the City of Edmonton on this timely and important project, which will contribute to the revitalization of your inner city neighbourhood.

Volunteer Committee Members - Apply now!

The Works International Visual Arts Society is currently looking for enthusiastic professionals to join a Working Committee of volunteers to lend expertise to, guide, and carry out special projects and to support the Directors and Staff in year round and Festival initiatives.  

In the Society’s 30th and The Works Art & Design Festival’s 25th Anniversary year, The Works is building a Volunteer Committee which will comprise of 10-15 members working in various areas of profile and community development. Joining The Committee is your opportunity to work with the Directors to augment community awareness of The Society’s and The Festival’s programs through advocacy, networking, marketing, and fundraising.
