ABOUT THE ARTIST
Chloe Heeseok Oh is a Korean-born artist currently based in Edmonton. Her oil paintings on canvas reflect an impressionistic approach, capturing the harmony between light, color, and texture. Influenced by the Barbizon school and impressionism, Chloe’s work is rooted in a deep appreciation for natural and urban landscapes, evoking a sense of stillness and lyrical beauty. Growing up in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, where her parents ran a ranch, Chloe developed an early connection to nature. This love for the outdoors shaped her artistic journey, leading her to study Western painting in South Korea. She immersed herself in plein air painting, refining her ability
to depict the fleeting moments of light and atmosphere. Her work has been recognized through exhibitions in Seoul, Milan, and beyond, including awards from the Korean Art Competition and a showcase at the Seoul Museum of Art.
