ARTIST BIO
Vanessa Tignanelli is a Canadian documentary photographer and videographer. Combining her training in conceptual art, journalism, and filmmaking, she confronts dehumanizing stereotypes that occupy society. Vanessa's work has been recognized by the Royal Family, NPAC National Photography Awards, and InFocus Photo Exhibit. She is a graduate of the University of Guelph’s studio art program and Loyalist College’s photojournalism program. Her work has appeared in publications such as The Globe and Mail, Bloomberg, VICE, Photographers Without Borders, CBC, Maclean's, The Narwhal and more.
