NOTICE: Traffic and Road Closures

The Works Art & Design Festival is returning to Churchill Square from June 21 to July 1, 2025. Please be aware of festival set-up and take-down schedules, as well as ongoing civic projects and road closures that may affect access and transit in the area.

Festival set-up and take-down:

Planned Road and Lane Closures May Include:

  • Full closure of 99 Street between 102 Avenue and 102A Avenue

  • Closure of the northbound curb lane on 100 Street between 102A Avenue and 103 Avenue; Includes closure of the northbound bus stop on 103 Avenue

  • Closure of the bike lane on 99 Street from 103 Avenue to 104 Avenue

  • Closure of the bike lane on 102A Avenue, from 99 Street east to the alley

Current and Ongoing Closures (as of June 2025):

  • 99 Street (102A Avenue to 100 Avenue): Reduced to a single lane in each direction due to the 99 Street Streetscaping and Waterproofing project. North sidewalk closures are in effect, and alternating crosswalk closures may occur.

  • 102A Avenue (east of 99 Street): Closed westbound due to the 99 Street LRT Pedway Project. The bike lane is closed, and the west sidewalk is closed. Cyclists and pedestrians must use the temporary shared-use path on the east sidewalk.

  • 103A Avenue and 99 Street: Construction of the underground pedway from Churchill LRT Station to the Station Lands development began in March 2024. A section of the pedway between Churchill Station and the Edmonton Law Courts is closed to the public and is anticipated to remain closed for 3 months.
