Join North America's largest free outdoor art and design festival! Volunteers are at the heart of The Works, helping make art accessible and creating an unforgettable experience for all. With opportunities ranging from exhibit attendants to tour guides, there’s a role for everyone.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
EXHIBIT ATTENDANT
Shifts: 4 hours (11am - 10pm)
Help monitor art exhibits, engage with visitors, and ensure the artwork stays safe. Ideal for visual arts students or anyone interested in art interpretation. Pairs of volunteers work together, making this perfect for friends or families.
FAMILY PROGRAM ASSISTANT
Shifts: 3.5 hours (11am - 5pm)
Assist with fun crafts and activities for kids and families. A great role for educators, students, or anyone passionate about creativity and working with children.
GREETER / INFORMATION
Shifts: 4 hours (11am - 10pm)
Be the first face visitors see! Greet patrons, provide information, and help count festival attendees. Ideal for those who love meeting people and assisting with event logistics.
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
Shifts: Flexible (10am - 11pm)
Help keep the festival grounds clean and beautiful. Perfect for those who prefer minimal social interaction while supporting the event’s environment.
PARKING ATTENDANT
Shifts: 4 hours (11am - 10pm)
Ensure smooth parking operations and assist with designated parking spots. A solo or small group position, suitable for those with a keen eye for detail.
PATIO BAR
Shifts: 6 hours (11am - 11pm)
Assist with serving drinks and managing the patio bar area. Must be over 18 and have (or be willing to get) Pro-Serve certification.
PATIO GATE CREW
Shifts: 4 hours (11am - 11pm)
Monitor and assist with AGLC regulations, including counting patrons and ensuring no drinks leave the patio. Must be over 18.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Shifts: 4 hours (11am - 11pm)
Capture festival moments! Ideal for those with an interest in photography and visual storytelling.
TOUR GUIDES
Shifts: Flexible (11am - 8pm)
Guide visitors through the festival, sharing insights into contemporary and local art. Great for public speakers or those wanting to deepen their art knowledge.
VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATION
Shifts: Flexible (10:30am - 11pm)
Support volunteer coordination, assist with sign-ins, and help behind the scenes. This is a great position for those looking to develop administrative skills.
