My time at the W2W internship has been really great! Having the experience of working towards a hard deadline in a festival setting is a highly transferable set of skills that will be super beneficial in future careers.
With the unlimited sources of information, including my supervisors and previous interns who have returned, I always felt that knowledge was at my disposal and my skill development was a priority.
I’m super happy that I had this opportunity, and I was able to build connections with other the interns who I know I will cross-paths with again in the future!

The Works internship helped me learn many new things through a hands-on approach. It is so much more than work, it’s a social and creative learning experience.
Going in, I knew I would be doing a niche or my own, and staff were friendly, ensuring I have a greater purpose. The [works to work] classes were informative and for the most part, I looked forward to clocking into such a wonderful environment day after day.
I feel truly proud of my work completed at The Works, and am thankful to have met everyone there.

Working in Marketing and Communications has really freed me from my peel.
I feel a deep connection with all of the staff and interns whom I have met in my time at The Works, and I’m so glad that I got to experience Edmonton’s art scene!
The hands-on learning was super accessible for every learning style, and made my time there very refreshing as I gained a bunch of new skills.
