Tamara Burch
Curatorial Intern (2025)
Tamara Burch (she/her) is an artist and cultural administrator living on Treaty 6 territory in St. Albert, Alberta. She is passionate about public art access, placemaking, and inclusive storytelling. Her experience spans curatorial support, gallery work, community-based research, and cultural policy through roles with The Works, the Mitchell Art Gallery, Arts Habitat, and the St. Albert Arts Development Advisory Committee. Bringing a background in design, professional editing, project and event coordination, and administration, Tamara thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments. Her position as Curatorial Assistant with The Works has been a fantastic opportunity to make use of these creative and technical skills. Driven by curiosity, care, and a belief in the power of the arts to shape community, Tamara is always eager to contribute to thoughtful, engaging cultural spaces. She believes time well spent includes wandering about in nature, adventures with her family, getting lost in a good book, or attempting to turn her thumb green. She loves leaving her art in unexpected places for strangers to find and keep.
