Kiyang (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and theatre maker. After obtaining a combined BA in Political Science and Theatre & Film Studies from McMaster University and relocating to amiskwaciwâskahikan / ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Edmonton), she began working as a Production Assistant at the Works International Visual Art Society. This work doubles as a means to introduce and integrate herself into the art community of Edmonton. At this early point in her career, she enjoys producing experiences, from costume and set design to fine art installations. Drawn to deconstructing cultural symbols in her art, her creative writing explores themes of identity and heritage with an ecological ethos and fantastical lean.
