ABOUT Vanessa Tignanelli’S ARTWORK

A story takes a thousand hours to document, and remains alive forever within the photojournalist. Yet stories exist only a day on our oversaturated online media and are not given the same slow consideration as other artforms. Through the act of painting over her images, the artist encourages the viewer to experience moments that she has borne witness to, enhancing their importance by bringing them into existence as tangible pieces of art.
